From Crime Reporter to Senior News Editor

My Journey

My Journey

He was one of the first journalists to give live coverage of riots from Agra and Aligarh.

The Samajwadi Party Chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav, contested the much feared and violent election from the Etawah constituency that attracted the entire national press because of its nature and implications. In the same, he was sent on behalf of Dainik Jagran, Agra to cover this election.

After the controversial structure at Ram Janam Bhoomi, Ayodhya was reduced to ruins, riots broke out in the entire Agra region. He was deputed as Crime Reporter to cover and visit the sensitive areas and was later on acclaimed for the deep insight and in-depth and unbiased reporting.

He reported the true and actual story of the sensational kidnapping and dramatic release of the owner of Commercial Motors, from Lucknow (supposedly released from Firozabad District in an encounter) that was unearthed in what is till date considered as an exemplary episode of investigative journalism at Dainik Jagran. The impact can be assessed by the fact that even S.P (city) was transferred on account of misinformation and for misleading the department.

Yamuna Action Plan –I, that had a budget of 77 Crores for Agra, was embroiled in a scam. The initial investigation of the same was done by him which became another feather in his cap of investigative journalism. A number of senior Officers were also suspended by the U.P Government in relation with this scam.
